Miles, Hours, and Years

Franciscan Sisters stationed in Arizona spent a total of 14 hours in cars today, driving roughly 822 miles to join in celebration of 303 collective years of service given by six jubilee celebrants and one finally professed Sister among them. Mimi's Cafe in Casa Grande was the scene of much happy chatter and laughter as we as we enjoyed a lovely lunch.

"We Invite You" -- to the joy a long term Religious commitment!

  1. Sister Catherine,

Who would have thought that your retirement adventures would constitute a blog? I am thrilled. I will read every entry! Mackville's many contributions to the Church are evident again.

    1. My life has been filled with "Who would have thought ..." adventures. The sum total of it might be "Who would have thought that she'd last in the Convent?"

  2. While this place gets a little crowded and you might have to push through occasionally, it's hard not to mention that a definite plus in venues in Los Angeles is that you'll rarely have to wait on line in their large bathrooms.
